Natural Products and Bioprospecting (NPB) is a single blind peer-reviewed free open accessed journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. The journal is sponsored by Kunming Institute of Botany (KIB), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The journal merges the fields of all aspects of essential research on natural products and it's fresh approach to this research makes it a home for science that addresses the isolation, structure elucidation and total synthesis of natural products; biological evaluation of active natural products; bioorganic and medicinal chemistry; biosynthesis and microbiological transformation; fermentation and plant tissue cultures and bioprospecting of natural products. In addition to original research articles, NPB publishes reviews and short communications, rapidly disseminating the research results of timely interest, as well as comprehensive reviews of emerging topics in all the areas of natural products.

 

The Editor-in-Chiefs strive to have an international board and notable Editorial Board members include K.C. Nicolaou (Rice University, USA), Han-Dong Sun (Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China), David J. Newman (National Cancer Institute, USA), Ikuro Abe (The University of Tokyo, Japan), and Thomas Efferth (Johannes Gutenberg-Universit Mainz, Germany).

 

NPB has now been indexed in, but not limited to: Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), PubMed/MEDLINE/PubMed Central, Scopus, OCLC, DOAJ.
