The Second ANSO International Training Course on Automobile Technology was Successfully Held

The second ANSO international training course on automobile technology was successfully held in Hefei, Anhui Province on June 4 2024, with the joint support of ANSO, the School of Engineering Science of the University of Science and Technology of China (SES of USTC), the International College of USTC, and NIO. 104 international students from 36 countries were enrolled in this training course.

The opening ceremony was held on 4 June at USTC and hosted by Prof. PEI Gang, Deputy Dean of SES. Prof. NI Yong, Deputy Dean of SES, and Ms. SHEN Yizhu, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation at USTC, each gave opening remarks, expressing their gratitude for ANSO’s support of the activity and their hopes that international students would enjoy and learn. 

The lecture session was hosted by Prof. WANG Zhandong, Deputy Director of SES. Prof. Prof. ZHANG Yanyong, Executive Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Mr. Scott SHI, Head of Platform Architecture Team & Expert of NIO, and A.P. SONG Kang from Tianjin University respectively presented on advances in autonomous driving, NIO and its innovation, and autonomous vehicle design. The students attentively listened to the lectures and engaged in interactive discussions with the experts.

In the afternoon on June 4, the students visited NIO House in Hefei Xinqiao Industrial Park. The students toured NIO House, NIO Second Advanced Manufacturing Center and NIO Second Advanced Manufacturing Center. They also experienced the intelligent cabin firsthand and embarked the new models, followed by discussions with NIO experts. This visit broadened the participants' academic horizons and received widespread praise and recognition from the students.

The Second ANSO International Training Course on Automotive Technology provided international students with a deep understanding of advanced automotive technologies in the field of new energy vehicles and intelligent cars, as well as the development of China's automotive industry. Guided by the principles of the Belt and Road Initiative—peaceful cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning, and mutual benefit—the program enhanced scientific popularization, technical exchanges, and talent cultivation in the field of automotive technology.
