Beijing, 1 April 2025 – Prof. Liu Weidong, Executive Director of ANSO, and Director General of the Bureau of International Cooperation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), welcomed a delegation led by Academician Prof. Veselin Vukotić, Founder and Rector of the University of Donja Gorica (UDG), a member organization of ANSO in Montenegro, at the headquarters of CAS in Beijing. Staff from the Secretariat of ANSO and representatives from the Bureau of International Cooperation, CAS joined the meeting. The meeting explored opportunities to further enhance the partnership between ANSO and UDG.
Prof. Liu highly commended UDG’s active engagement in ANSO programs and activities, highlighting its role as a valued and reliable partner since it joined ANSO. He briefed the delegation on the latest development of ANSO and its programs, and cordially invited the Rector to lead a group in person or send a representative to attend the Fourth General Assembly later this year.
Prof. Vukotić thanked Prof. Liu for the hospitality and expressed his gratitude for ANSO’s support over the years, reaffirming UDG’s eagerness to deepen this partnership. Dr. Marija Radunović gave an overview of the university’s dynamic growth and international engagement. Other delegates showcased their respective involvement in ANSO-sponsored collaborative research or training projects, praising ANSO as a premier platform for fostering international scientific exchanges and collaboration. They commended the staff of the ANSO Secretariat for their dedication and professional competence in program management.
The meeting concluded with mutual optimism and enthusiasm for future collaborations.
