Call for Proposals on 2025 CAS-ANSO
Co-funding Research Project

In response to the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (2024-2033) initiative, the call for proposals for the 2025 CAS-ANSO Co-funding Research Program is now open. Relevant details are as follows.

1.Introduction
The CAS-ANSO Co-funding Research Program aligns with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which aims to explore and establish a co-funding mechanism under the framework of the ANSO. It encourages ANSO Member organizations to jointly engage in scientific, technological, and innovative research cooperation with the institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The program seeks to promote sustainable economic and social development and contribute to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

2.Priorities Areas
The 2025 call for projects focuses on improving people's livelihoods and green development in Belt and Road partner countries through international industry-university-research-application collaborations featuring "small-scale yet high-impact". Priority will be given to projects that can attract the participation of more international organizations, address local development bottlenecks in terms of technology and model, and localize the application of research results. Encourage the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure or platforms, digitization and intelligence tools, blockchain technology, etc. in order to promote R&D and applications, and provide innovative solutions for sustainable development in the region.
Clean Energy: digital energy technology, renewable energy development/utilization, energy storage technology and equipment R&D, energy-saving process modification technology, low-carbon transportation systems, etc.
Health and Public Health: low-cost diagnostic equipment, affordable medical technology, telemedicine and AI-assisted diagnostic system, advanced antimicrobial materials, waste treatment technology, inclusive health services delivery models, etc.
