ANSO Joins the China Pavilion Exhibition of NST Fair in Thailand

The National Science and Technology Fair 2022 (NST Fair) kicked off on 14th August 2022 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Thailand. For this year's Fair, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand decided to host the "China Pavilion" independently for the first time with the goal to introduce "The Chinese Advanced Technology" to the public. Co-hosts of the Pavilion include the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Innovation Cooperation Center Bangkok (CASICCB), and China-ASEAN Technology Transfer Center (CATTC).

The Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) participated in the China Pavilion at the kind invitation of the key organizers. The vision, strategic priorities and opportunities of ANSO were introduced with a key emphasis on the ANSO Scholarship programs to the young people in Thailand.

Mr. HAN Zhiqiang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Thailand accompanied Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and Prof. Dr. Anek Laothamatas, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand to visit the China Pavilion and the section on ANSO. Mr. Don expressed high expectation on further consolidating and strengthening mutual-beneficial S&T cooperation between Thailand and China.

The National Science and Technology Fair is Thailand's biggest annual event in science, technology, and innovation which shows the capabilities of science, advanced technology and innovation to promote excitement, inspiration, and awareness of science with participants. The NST Fair 2022 was held from 13-21 August 2022 at 9:00 AM.-7:00 PM.
